UU

Set in the not too distant future, UU is an experimental science fiction short film heavily influenced by the work of Philip K. Dick and Werner Herzog. Shot over the course of 4 days on location in Singapore, UU was a zero budget cinematic experiment inspired during the Rogue Film School. Filmed with a skeleton crew and without film permits, the short was an exercise in creative restraint. In a world where sleep has become a crime, special responders known as 'wakes' are tasked with incarcerating sleepers. But when one 'wake' gives in to the world of dreams, she is forced into the possibility that she may become the next target.
